Champaign, IL – CIMRO’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tina Georgy, RN, MS, will retire in January 2023 after 37 years with the organization and having served as its CEO for 23 years. “For over three decades, Georgy’s executive level leadership has been a cornerstone to the CIMRO enterprise. Like so many companies, CIMRO has reinvented itself several times by expanding its service lines and creating new partnerships,” said CIMRO’s Board of Director’s Chair Barry Slotky, MD. “In a very competitive and continually evolving environment, her leadership has been the cornerstone for the organization’s success. We wish her the very best in her retirement.” In addition to serving as CIMRO’s CEO, Georgy also provided executive oversight over multiple entities as part of the CIMRO enterprise, including 11 years as its Chief Operating Officer prior to being named CEO. These roles included serving as the CEO of CIMRO of Nebraska, which was established in 2003 with award of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) contract. CMS consolidated QIO contracts in 2014 and Georgy led the formation of Great Plains Quality Innovation Network (GPQIN) with a successful QIN-QIO contract serving Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. Georgy served as the CEO for Great Plains QIN from 2014 – 2020. Georgy also served as CEO of CIMRO Medical Management, Inc. from 1998 - 2000. During her career, Georgy served on the American Health Quality Association’s (AHQA’s) Board of Directors and held various committee positions with the organization. AHQA is the national trade association representing the QIO program. The CIMRO Board of Directors has selected April Vogelsang, MS, RN, NEA-BC, to succeed Georgy. Vogelsang will begin her position as CIMRO’s CEO on August 22, 2022. During the transition period, Georgy will serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. |
